A 10-PIECE soul band auctioned themselves off for charity and helped raise £350 for children with special needs.

Worcester group The Midnight Movers were sold to the highest bidder at the Goodrest Tavern, in Barker Street, Rainbow Hill, Worcester, as part of the pub’s annual Funday.

The event, held last month, included a football competition, raffle, barbecue, plus bands playing live in the pub car park - and raised a total of £1,600 for Regency High School, a special educational needs in Windermere Drive, Warndon.

Harry Baldwin, from the Midnight Movers, said: “Throughout the year we work hard to get our music out there; it's nice at least once a year to let our hair down and enjoy the day knowing that we are helping a worthy cause.”
