THE speaker at the club’s October meeting was Mrs Audrey Gillman – her title Autumn’s Rugby.

Audrey presented a succession of arrangements which glowed with colours of autumn flowers and foliage, each one displaying the range of her imagination and inventiveness. The raffle winners went home very delighted with the beauty of their rewards.

Audrey judged the flower of the month competition. First was Barbara Williams who had brought a Hebe, second, Gladys Lewis who had brought a spray of Michaelmas Daisies.

We next meet on Tuesday, November 11 at 7pm for our festive meal at the Crown in Wychbold.

A reminder that the December meeting will be on the first Tuesday of the month, not the usual second Tuesday, so please mark your diaries for December 2, in the village hall at 7.30pm. The speaker will be Beryl Griffiths and her title Ruby Christmas. The title for the members’ competition is Christmas is Ruby Red.
