Volunteers wanted for Peru trip

A TASK group is looking for volunteers, young and old, to go on a trip to Peru.

People could be tasked with building a new classroom, helping with the administration of a medical campaign, or with working in a centre for children and people who have disabilities.

The Peru Task Group is planning the diocesan visit to the South American country for 2010.

Mission teams usually go to Peru for two to three weeks. At least one week is spent working on a project. The team usually pays for its own travel and accommodation, often with some help from their own church, while materials will also be needed to undertake any work.

A series of preparation days will be planned throughout 2009.
