A GRAND old lady had a lovely day yesterday celebrating her 100th birthday.
Charlotte Partridge, of Albany Road, Rainbow Hill, Worcester, was surrounded by members of her family and received birthday cards throughout the day.
There were also flowers and balloons to help the celebrations along.
Her daughter-in-law, Diana, said: “She had a lovely day. Three of her great-grandchildren showed up, too.
“She kept nodding off, which she always does, but she had lots of cards. They just keep on coming.
“She’s really happy. There’s a great atmosphere in the house.”
Mrs Partridge has five children, Rosemary, Jean, Stephen, Alan and Ed, 10 grandchildren and nine great-grand children.
She was married to her husband Ernest for 55 years, before his death in 1993 and has lived at the house in Albany Road since her marriage.
Mrs Partridge is a committed Christian and a regular worshipper at St Paul’s Church, Worcester.
