Do not approach wanted man

THE public are being warned not to approach a wanted man.

West Mercia Police is appealing for information in connection with the whereabouts of James ‘Jimmy’ Stevens.

Stevens is wanted for breaching his licence conditions, one of which is to live at his home address in Worcester.

It is believed that the 52-year-old, who was originally jailed for robbery, may in the north of the county, perhaps Bridgnorth or Telford, but could return to the city.

Detective Inspector Jim Fox, of south Worcestershire Police, said: “James Stevens is wanted by police and we would ask anyone who knows of his whereabouts to contact us urgently.

“He could be in Worcester area but has strong connections with the Telford area.

“We would like to stress that anyone who sees Stevens is asked not to approach him but to call police immediately.”

Stevens is white, of an average build and 5’ 7’’ tall. He has short brown hair and blue eyes.
