Young entrepreneurs set out their stalls

YOUNG entrepreneurs showed off their business skills at Worcester’s Guildhall on Saturday.

The 22 teams who had entered the Young Enterprise competition set up stalls from which they marketed their own-design branded goods while judges marked their efforts.

The Young Enterprise competition is aimed at school pupils primarily between the ages of 15 and 16.

Items on offer included jewellery, plants perfect for Mother’s Day and even an aromatherapy stall.

It was the end of a long, hard journey for the teams, who have been planning and designing their businesses and items since September.

They are even given a budget and their own working bank account to set up shop.

Mayor of Worcester Andy Roberts attended the event and spoke to the teams involved.

He said: “This is great, and it’s great that it’s being held in the Guildhall – that’s exactly what this place is for.”
