Arrests after street fracas

FIVE people have been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and criminal damage following a street fracas in a quiet city suburb.

Three men, a woman and a youth have been detained in the past 24 hours after an incident in Cobden Avenue, in Warndon Villages, on Thursday.

Sgt Tony Garner, of South Worcestershire police, said: "Five people have been arrested in connection with an incident in Worcester in the early hours of Thursday, March 18."

The five remain in custody at Worcester Police Station where they are helping officers with their enquiries.
