A WORCESTERSHIRE entrepreneur is hoping he won’t get burned when he appears before the Dragons tonight.
Adam Weaver, aged 30, will appear on the BBC show Dragons’ Den to pitch his Pershore-based company, proppa.com, to the five business moguls.
Mr Weaver, from Church Lench, Evesham, will appear before James Caan, Duncan Bannatyne, Deborah Meaden, Theo Paphitis and Peter Jones in the hope of getting support for the company, which sells vehicle accessories.
He set up the company four years ago with his wife Kerry, 28, which they ran from home.
But when Mrs Weaver became pregnant with the couple’s son a year later, Mr Weaver moved the company to its current headquarters in Racecourse Road, Pershore.
Mr Weaver said his main goal for appearing on the show is not for the money but to meet someone who can give him business advice.
He said: “It’s not about the money for investment, the thing I want is somebody with more experience than me to give me good advice.
“It’s a lonely place when you want to take the company forward but don’t know who to ask.”
Since leaving school, Mr Weaver has always been something of an entrepreneur, running his own small ventures while working but it was when he started a job with business consultancy and recruitment firm in Birmingham, that he discovered his true business sense.
He said: “I learnt a lot from that job. I’ve always had a natural ability to motivate people, but there I learnt the academic side and to properly understand the sales side of it.
“I basically wanted to put what I had learnt into practice and knew I had to harness the power of the internet.
“I started the website by trying to find niche products. People search for items online and come to the our site. We sell things they can’t buy in their local Halfords.”
Dragons’ Den is on BBC2 tonight, at 9pm.

But how can he not know?? It's not like its filmed live? It was probably filmed a few months ago. I certainly wouldn't be investing my money on someone with such short-term memory problems! i wonder if he gets any investment as he keeps saying 'it's not about the money'
