Lisa Woodman goes from brassy to classy

CLASSY: Lisa Woodman after her makeover CLASSY: Lisa Woodman after her makeover

A DARING dresser whose skimpy outfits saw her banned from top Worcester nightspots has been turning heads for a completely different reason.

Mum-of-four Lisa Woodman set chins wagging (especially on our Facebook page here) about her dress sense after appearing exclusively in the Worcester News.

But she has been treated to a classy makeover and a new look, courtesy of a national daily newspaper.

And the 28-year-old has even been stopping traffic in the city’s streets, as curious drivers wonder whether it is really her.

Miss Woodman was taken to the Fownes Hotel, Worcester, and photographed under studio lighting, with professional make-up and hair styling on Tuesday – and said that she thoroughly enjoyed the model treatment.

“I didn’t even recognise myself,” said Miss Woodman, of Gillam Street, Rainbow Hill, Worcester.

“I love the pictures and I would wear that stuff out – but not this week, I’ve already got my outfit planned. It’s a silver and white bikini-type outfit.”

Miss Woodman said she loved her new hairstyle and she wanted to keep it.

She revealed a popular morning television programme had also been in touch inviting her onto the show, but she has yet to schedule a date for her appearance.

“I had no idea what they were going to do, but it was high street dresses and things,” she said.

“Although the shoes they had me in were so high and tight that my feet are still killing me.”

She said she was still shocked at the interest in the story from gossip columnists to the tabloids, but also surprised at the judgemental vitriol of some people who had commented.

“I cannot believe how nasty some of the comments were,” said the former hospital cleaner.

“People are saying that I paid for my boobs with benefit money.

“I worked hard to pay for them myself actually, they cost me £5,000. I’ve only been out of work for a few months.”

She has also had some offers from across the world to “go and party” but has refused, and is keeping her feet firmly on the ground.

She said: “It’s gone mad – but I’ll be going out this weekend with my mates.”

Is this news?

As she's out of work, I assume she will be declaring any earnings she'll be making from her obvious need for attention.
Apart from that, smiling works for her and she should probably do it more often.

I'd like to congratulate Miss Woodman on achieving the lifetime ambition of so many young people today; getting free clothes because she's slightly famous for doing something that involved no actual work at all.

If Lisa was so adamant that she would wear what she likes, is this make up fashion photography thing not very hypercritical?

There are several irregularities in her story. Can anyone answer these?
Was she refused entry to one nightclub, or was it all the night clubs in town?
Is she an admin assistant at a hospital or is she now on benefits having been a hospital cleaner in the past?

Fact or fiction?

Some people don't like the facts getting in the way of a good story...

I think Lisa looks stunning...good for her and although folk have the right to choose what they wear, I know which outfit I prefer. :-)

SHE HAS BEEN HONEST? Really?
In the Worcester News she said she used to be a cleaner at the hospital, whereas in the Mirror she said she was currently an admin assistant at the hospital.

Thankfully, there is no sign of her in the national papers today. Maybe her 15 minutes of fame is now over, and we will get real news again.

For goodness sake. It wouldn't matter if she suddenly won the lottery and donated all of it to a good cause, people commenting here would still be spiteful, nasty and childish.

I say good for her.

it does make me laugh that those who say this isn't news and WN should find something better etc etc because if that's how you truly felt why would you bother even commenting or reading it?! it's because curiosity got the better of you and you couldn't resist!

In my opinion she looks lovely having had a make over she's got a lovely figure and yes fair enough a night club is a different place but it would be no different to being at a beach in a bikini (which covers alot less) or at a public pool etc so whats the harm and as for clubs being known for "pulling Parlours" that's just silly, although i don't any more i used to go to local clubs and although that might be the aim for some to "pull" it isn't for the majority it is to have a good time ..... That's what they're there for!

There is no need for people to start being spiteful and judging her as a bad mother etc just for having a night out my sister is a single parent and when her children go to their fathers every other weekend she goes out and why not it's not illegal just because you have children there is nothing saying you have to stay in chained to the house/kitchen sink/sofa for the rest of your days you can be a good parent and still be a woman at the same time, it would be no different to a married couple leaving their children with a babysitter and going out for the night.

I must say though how the 3 nightclubs in question may have a smart/casual dress code but they need to give the place a **** good clean because the place stank of either nasty feet, sick or a bad lump of cheese!!!!

As you say, JBLM2008, a bikini covers a lot less. In the interview she states that her outfit for this weekend is a silver and black bikini type outfit. Surely a bikini is not the sort of attire suitable for a night on the town.
She really is just an attention seeker. Let's just hope her children don't suffer for it all.

I'm sure it's not and if it covers even less than the last dress she went out in then if i were her i wouldn't even attempt to get in as i think the response would be a big fat no!

Personally it doesn't bother me if that's what people want to wear i'm sure people looked at me strangely when i popped to tesco a couple of weeks ago having just got out the bath with the towel still around my head, admittedly it wasn't intentional but they weren't to know that! If it gets her the attention she wants then let her carry on, is it for others to say if her children will suffer? maybe they don't even see their mum dressed that way? I sometimes roll my eyes at the length of skirt my sister wears and she's 3 years older than me all i'm saying is that we all like different things, and we all get enjoyment in different ways, maybe she's trying to be seen as more than a mother or 4 or 5?????
