COMPUTER users in Malvern are being asked to donate any old and unused equipment to help improve facilities in other parts of the world.

The Shervington Third World Trust collects items and sends them to Guyana, the Caribbean and some African countries with the aim of improving education and healthcare facilities.

Malvern supporter Bob Beach has set up collections in the town and is looking for anyone with redundant computers and printers to get in touch.

He is being backed by Malvern Rotary Club. Rotarian Sandy Gibson said: “Older computers often have plenty of life left in them, so it is important that such components are passed on.”
