CHILDREN affected by the fallout from the Chernobyl nuclear disaster have been visiting the county for a “health giving” holiday.
Since 2002, the Chernobyl Children’s Life Line Malvern and District charity has brought youngsters from Belarus to Malvern for a month-long stay with families.
This year’s group of 10 from the town of David-Gordock arrived last week and were pictured on a visit to Priory Park. Other group activities included a visit to Worcester, a day at the Guides campsite with activities arranged by the Worcester Trefoil Guild, and a first visit to Malvern Splash, to learn to swim.
Organiser Dorothy Knights said they would also be spending time with their host families.
