DVLA office closure confirmed for 2013 DVLA office closure confirmed for 2013

WORCESTER’S DVLA office will close after plans to shut regional offices were given the go-ahead.

Roads Minister Mike Penning confirmed the DVLA’s services would be centralised in Swansea or using intermediaries.

Its 39 regional offices – including its office in Broomhall which employs 25 people – will close by the end of 2013.

Staff there carry out administrative work including trade plates for garages, vehicle inspections and personalised registration mark transfers.

They were among public sector workers who went on strike to oppose the plans in June.

The Freight Transport Association (FTA) said it would cause slower or more costly services for its members. Ian Gallagher, of the FTA, said: “Now that the minister has confirmed the closures, the agency has to deliver an alternative which is fit for purpose and benefits business.”

We really are represented by idiots aren't we? Obviously this is latest closure is connected to the previous political wisdom (or normal lack of) in taking away other services from the majority of Post Offices, which included Motor Vehicle Taxation. So could these wise ministers explain where those who aren't on the Net, or have a bank Debit Card will get their vehicles licensed, or are they saying it now won't be an offence for not having Car Tax displayed. I am seriously convinced that those who wish to de-stabalise the UK are the very politicians themselves. With scandal after scandal being uncovered they are demonstrating to me to be unfit to rule.
As to the bankers scandal being carefully protected from an independent Judge led enquiry by Cameron and Co, and NO FREE Vote allowed, you could be excused for also thinking that by hugely decreasing the Numbers of Serving personnel (Not the Generals, Brigadiers or Admirals) they are intent on making our country vulnerable to the same problems being experienced in Europe and the USA.
