HARD-WORKING pupils ended the summer term on a high note after Ofsted inspectors described their school as outstanding.
Hindlip CE Primary School, near Worcester, scored top grades for the achievements of its pupils, quality of teaching, behaviour and safety of pupils, and leadership and management.
Ofsted inspector Clive Lewis spent two days at the school, observing lessons and talking to pupils, governors and staff.
He said Hindlip was an outstanding school and the headteacher and staff provide a clear and ambitious vision for the future and all staff are very highly motivated to achieve it He said: “Pupils are extremely keen to learn and are very well prepared for the next stage of their education. “Pupils, parents and carers are fully supportive and extremely proud of their school. The quality of teaching is outstanding.” He described one particular lesson, when pupils engaged in a bug-hunt in the school grounds, as outstanding.
“Pupils are kind, thoughtful and considerate towards each other,” he said.
“Their behaviour in and around school is exemplary.”
Headteacher Carolyn Tew said everyone at the school was absolutely delighted with the inspector’s verdict.
She said: “We’ve worked really hard over the last three years and I’m really proud of what we’ve managed to achieve, so it’s great to have it recognised.
“Our parents and governors are very supportive, and we have a very active parents’ body.”
