Charity run was in memory of car crash victim Richard

CROWDS cheered on a team of loving friends and family running in memory of a man who lost his life in a car crash.
The group of 10 from Bromyard, Pencombe, and Worcester ran the British 10k in London to honour the life of Richard Warr and collect money for the Midlands Air Ambulance.
Their grit and determination ended up raising £4,000 for the air ambulance.
Mr Warr, who was just 21 and from Pencombe, near Bromyard, worked at Laylocks Garden Centre in Bromyard Road.
He died when his Mazda pick-up truck collided with a Seat Ibiza near Bayton, Herefordshire, on Friday, August 5, 2011.
His sisters Gemma Thomas, Hannah Warr and Verity Warr were joined by Meg Thomas, Trish Thomas, Richie Thomas, Victoria Manning, Phoebe James, Wallis Rushforth and cousin Natasha Warr.
Mrs Thomas said: “The race went really well and we all finished it in under an hour. We ran past Big Ben, over the Thames and finished at Downing Street – it was definitely the best way to see the capital.
“The atmosphere was incredible and as we wore T-shirts with Rich’s face on the slogan ‘Running 4 Rich’.
“The crowd were cheering us on, shouting his name.”
