A HEART-rending short film was shown to guests at the 10th anniversary reception evening of a Worcester-based bereavement charity.

The Noah's Ark Trust, which first opened its doors in 1998 to help young children and their families, celebrated with guests at the Sixways Conference Centre on Thursday, March 6.

The touching DVD was filmed and produced by Thomas Hill, of Barbourne, and showed the work the charity does within Worcestershire and Herefordshire.

Not a dry eye was left in the building as guests watched the story of the McDonald family from Dines Green, Worcester, whose mother was tragically killed in a car accident just before Christmas in 2006.

Antiques expert and patron of the trust Henry Sandon said: "Noah's Ark has done just fantastic things. It is an incredibly professional production which had myself and my wife both in tears as we watched it." Your Worcester News has launched its £1 million Towards A Brighter Future campaign to find the trust a new home in Worcester.

Gabby Beddows, head of operations at the trust, said: "If anyone knows of a house we can give a great home to please let us know."
