VOLUNTEERS are being sought to take part in a fun run being held by a Worcester-based charity for bereaved children.

Following last year's successful Run to Remember, which raised almost £4,000 for the Noah's Ark charity, organisers are already planning another for September.

Hayley Fowler, marketing and communications co-ordinator for the charity, said the date they had chosen was Sunday, September 21 - but they needed help in organising it.

She said: "We are really anxious to make sure that we do as well if not better the next time and to do this we are going to need a bit of help."

Mrs Fowler said a member of last year's team had organised an open meeting, which will be taking place on Monday, March 10.

She said: "From this, we are hoping to find some volunteers to form a committee to support last year's organising team because some key members have moved away.

"It would only involve a short meeting once a month and as a project shared is a project halved input would be an immense boost to the team.

"The only commitment would be to come to the meeting and to another in early September and then to turn up on the day.

"We could not have succeeded last year without the dedicated team of organisers."

The charity is also looking for marshals.

The open meeting will take place at 7.30pm at Worcester Countryside Centre's Orchard Cafe in Wildwood Drive.

For more details about the meeting or the fun run telephone the charity on 01905 745735.
