A SUPERMARKET has given a Worcester-based bereavement charity a donation of £450.
The Co-operative, which has stores in the city, has made the donation to the Noah's Ark Trust, which helps children and young people throughout Worcestershire and Herefordshire who have experienced the loss of a parent or sibling.
Currently, the trust is working in conjunction with your Worcester News in the Towards A Brighter Future Appeal to either find a home in the community it can rent at a peppercorn rent or raise £1 million so it can buy and furnish a property.

Part of its work includes building the confidence of these youngsters on residential weekends and it is using the grant from the Co-operative to buy memory boxes.
Fund-raising manager Sue Smith said: "We are holding a residential weekend in May where children can meet others who have lost someone in their family.
"Here they share experiences, remember the person who has died and learn to have some fun again.
"The grant from the Co-operative has enabled us to buy memory boxes for the children which helps them to express their emotions," she added. The award comes from the Co-operative's community fund, part of the Co-operative Group's membership share of profits scheme which allows Co-operative members to donate all or part of their twice-yearly payouts to worthy causes.
The fund offers grants of between £100 and £5,000, with local Co-operative members' committees allocating awards based on a set of values and principles such as social responsibility and caring for others. About £100,000 is available annually to support charities and community groups in the region.
Chairwoman of the Co-operative West Midlands area committee Jenny Barnes said: "The community fund can make a real and lasting contribution to local communities and we are delighted to make this award to the Noah's Ark Trust. Many community groups share our co-operative values and could benefit from an award and we would certainly welcome their applications."
