A SCHOOL is celebrating after winning a poster competition to celebrate the cultural diversity of Redditch.

The competition was held as part of an event entitled Redditch the One World Town: Unity in Diversity, which was organised by Redditch One World Link and other organisations in the town.

The event was held earlier this month and the winner of the schools' poster competition has been announced as Birchensale Middle School.

The pupils were inspired by work from artists Mike Bernard and Tracey Elphick and used printed paper to make collages then added paint to achieve lovely textures and areas of interest.

The overall winner was Connor Vaughn, aged 10, and the runner up was Emma Brough, aged nine.
