THE children of Hanley Swan Pre-school came together to perform their Christmas play, but it was a play with a difference.

The children chose to put a Disney spin on the play, with smash-hit film Frozen the inspiration for this year's play.

Held at Hanley Swan Village Hall, the children were dressed as suns, snowmen, elves and other festive costumes to put on the production which included singing and even sign-language.

Sally Sinclair, supervisor of the pre-school, said: "We wanted to give the children an input into the play, and keeping it modern and contemporary keeps it interesting for the kids.

"It was a great night and the play was great, we're really proud of them. The attendance was really good, and the whole night was a lot of fun."

Around £300 was raised on the night of the performance (Friday, December 12), which will to the pre-school as it is a listed charity.
