Eager contestants and spectators will be gathering in Priory Park, Malvern, at lunchtime for the annual Malvern Rotary pancake race.

Now a well-loved annual tradition, the event brings together local businesses and organisation, many of them in fancy dress to add to the sense of fun.

The main race for adults starts at 12.30pm, but before that there will be a race for toddlers which is always well supported by local nurseries.

As well as providing thrills, spills and skilfully-wielded skillets, the event also raised money for the good causes supported by the Malvern Rotary Club.

The annual Shrove Tuesday pancake race at Worcester Cathedral is not taking place this year because of renovation work in the cloisters.
