A BLACK Country children’s worker has been shortlisted for an award which recognises “outstanding” activity leaders.

Cradley Heath mum-of-one Claire Darnley, who runs The Creation Station in Stourbridge and Halesowen, is in the running for a What’s On 4 Little Ones award.

Claire said she is “delighted” to have been shortlisted for the Most Outstanding Activity Leader for the Under 5s – Wales & West title, which is voted for by parents.

She said: “It means so much to me that parents enjoy my sessions and have taken the time to vote for me.

“At the Creation Station we are passionate about providing unique classes that give parents and their children a shared, creative and educational experience.

“I love what I do and it’s great to meet so many lovely parents, grandparents, babies and toddlers and seeing them develop over the weeks is really rewarding.”

Claire runs weekly Creation Station classes for children aged four months to five-years-old plus ‘family fun’ sessions during holidays for one to 11-year-olds and birthday parties across the Black Country.

She said: “I love inspiring little ones to express their creativity but also provide new mums with a fun experience to do with their children and hopefully make new friends in the process.”
