CELEBRITY radio presenter Sir Terry Wogan was spotted around Evesham and the Vale this week as he visited the area to offer support to a charity fundraiser.

The famous breakfast show host and Children in Need presenter stopped by in Evesham town centre on Monday where he met Rob Edmond, who is rolling a whisky barrel 517 miles.

Mr Edmond, a former SAS soldier and Biggest Loser coach, has been pushing the barrel from the Blair Athol Distillery in Scotland on Monday, March 23, through until today (Wednesday, March 31) when he finished at Tedworth House in Wiltshire, all in aid of the Help for Heroes charity.

Sir Terry joined Mr Edmond in Evesham's Vine Street, near All Saints Church, to show his support.

He was also seen around the town during the day popping into the Regal Cinema in Port Street for a coffee and filming his new show at the Evesham United Football Club ground.

Today he was set to film in Bretforton, while making appearances at The Fleece Inn pub as well as around the village.
