PEOPLE of the borough are being urged to make their say count on services and issues within Dudley by voting at the upcoming elections.

Now the deadline for people to register for the local and national elections has passed, it is up to those who are registered to decide the outcome.

Sarah Norman, chief executive and returning officer at Dudley Council, said: “Voting is so important because it gives people a say on how local and national services are run.

"If you miss the chance to vote, you are not part of the democratic process.”

A list of candidates – in all wards – who will be hoping for your vote on May 7 is now available by clicking here.

Our reporters will also be live blogging from both the local and national counts, getting the results to you as soon as they are announced.
