A FOURTEEN-year-old girl from Shobdon has won a place in the semi-final of Miss Junior Teen Great Britain.
If she makes it through the next stage, Erin White will appear in the grand final in October at The Globe in Blackpool.
"Making it to the grand final would be a dream come true," she said. "Fingers crossed I will be able to represent my area and bring the crown to Herefordshire."
She is also holding cake sales and doing a sponsored silence at Wigmore High School to raise money for charity.
Erin hopes to raise £500 for Together for Short Lives, the leading UK charity for all children with life-limiting conditions, to support Children's Hospice Week.
She added: "Wigmore School has been fantastic in supporting me to raise money for this charity. The sponsored silence for a whole day will probably be the hardest thing I will ever do."
