A COLLEGE student has been handed a volunteer award by Herefordshire Wildlife Trust.
Hereford Sixth Form College student Anya Courtenay, from Ledbury, first volunteered for the Wildlife Trust's education team ‘WildPlay’ in 2013 during a work experience week.
John Clark, the Trust's development director, said: "Anya stood out among her peers as being a very bright, hardworking young lady.
"Anya now volunteers on a weekly basis as part of her Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award. She has been a great asset to our team, always arriving with a smile and getting on with the task in hand."
Awards were presented to all volunteer winners at the Herefordshire Wildlife Trust's annual Wassail event.
