PROPERTIES were evacuated by firefighters in a south Herefordshire village this afternoon.
A fire crew was called to Pontrilas Road in Ewyas Harold at 1.21pm following a carbon monoxide alarm going off.
As a precaution, firefighters from the Ewyas Harold station evacuated nearby properties while an investigation was carried out.
A gas monitor was used and firefighters discovered the alarm was faulty.
