A WORCESTER cinema knew exactly who they were gonna call when they wanted to help promote the release of the Ghostbusters reboot.

Danielle Gormley and her Ghostbusting partner Caterina Recchia, from Captivating Costumes, have spent four months creating realistic costumes including the all-important Proton Packs for their appearance at Odeon, Foregate Street, Worcester.

The pair, who live near Shrub Hill, will be greeting fans at the cinema from 5pm on Monday, July 11 and at the same time on Saturday, July, 16.

Miss Gormley said: “We regularly provide replica props for the local Odeon to display during big movies.

"Previous exhibits have included, replica Iron Man, Ant Man and Captain America helmets, which had been on display during their respective movies.

"I had previously spoken about building Ghostbusters equipment to display from the new movie, and the staff at the Odeon invited us to attend the event as Ghostbusters for a meet and greet instead, which we are all thrilled about.”

On the nights they will be attending, the Ghostbusters will be investigating the cinema for any suspicious ghostly activity, to ensure the guests stay safe from any ghouls throughout the movie.

They will also be offering photo opportunities, and the chance to see the equipment up close.

The equipment has taken about four months to build, including all the electronics, and has been approved by Paul Feig, the director of the new Ghostbusters movie, when he shared a video featuring the Ghostbusting duo on his Twitter account.

Thirty years after the much-loved original, the new Ghostbusters opens on Monday, July 11 starring Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones and Chris Hemsworth.

Captivating Costumes also build costumes on a commission basis, and are happy to attend events in character.
