A YOUTH project in Ledbury has been boosted by a £10,000 grant.
The Ledbury Youth Activity Support group has been awarded the cash from Herefordshire Council to provide a drop-in facility in the town centre.
It will be in place at the Barrett Browning Building and will offer space for young people between the ages of 12 and 16 years to come together.
Funding will be used to provide training and the expertise of other organisations to volunteers and will also equip the centre.
The group will also use the funding to organise specific activity sessions which will be determined by the young people themselves. The first drop in session was held on July 13.
It is hoped that the grant will enable the group to establish themselves over the coming months with a view to making it a sustainable group by the end of the funding.
