POLICE are continuing to investigate the theft of silverware from a church at Blockley.
The haul, valued at £10,000, was stolen from St Peter and St Paul Church between 8am and 6.30pm on Tuesday, August 2.
The stolen items include chalices, a plaque, communion sets and plates, with the oldest of the items dating back to 1705.
The items were taken from a safe in the church after a thief is reported to have stolen a set of keys.
Police said this week that no arrests have been made yet, and the silverware has not been recovered, but enquiries are still going on.
Rev Canon Dana Delap described the theft as "really sad".
Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101, citing incident number 392 of August 2.
