A KEEN runner who works at Nunnery Wood High School has achieved her goal of completing the Birmingham Half Marathon.
Claire Ledbury, assessment and cover manager at the Worcester-based school, ran the course on Sunday, October 16, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
"Each year I like to set myself a challenge and at the same time raise some money for charity," she said.
"This time it was the Birmingham Half Marathon running for Macmillan Cancer Support and when I signed up back in May I could barely run 5km.
"It’s been a bumpy and sometimes emotional journey, but I’m pleased to say I finished in three hours and 19 minutes, and so far have raised a whopping £436.67 which is absolutely brilliant. Thanks to everyone for their support."
