TWO powercuts in consecutive nights left thousands of Bromsgrove homes without power this week, although technicians insist repairs are now fully complete.
Residents in the B61 postcode were first hit with a blackout at 4.41am on Tuesday, January 17, which Western Power Distribution (WPD) say affected 3520 customers.
Although technicians believed they fixed the cause – an underground cable fault – the issue returned at 2.07am on Wednesday, January 18, affecting a further 2656 customers.
A spokesman from WPD said: "The power was off at 2.07am this morning and it affected 2656 customers. Everyone had their power restored at 3.05am.
"We have traced it back to what we think the fault is, which is at 4:41am on Tuesday the power was off for 3520 customers. All were restored by 5:14am.
"This was due to an underground cable fault and the work is now complete."
