A MAN was disqualified from driving for 18 months after he admitted drink driving on New Year's Eve.
Cathal Tosh, 25, of Invicta Park Barracks in Maidstone, pleaded guilty to the offence before Hereford magistrates last week.
The court heard that officers stopped Tosh on Commercial Road while they were on patrol and he was asked to provide a roadside specimen before being taken to the police station where he was charged. He was found to have 68mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath.
Providing mitigation for himself, Tosh said he had been moving his car to a car park at the time of the offence. He admitted he should not have done so and knew it was wrong.
He was disqualified from driving for 18 months, fined £400, ordered to pay costs of £135 and will also pay a £40 victim surcharge.
