TRADITIONAL Sunday night jazz sessions return to Halesowen next weekend when the legendary George Huxley brings his Hot Five to the town.

Well known for many years as a fine clarinettist and alto saxophonist, George is much in demand in the UK, Europe and the USA.

But George will bring his soaring soprano with him as he performs at Halesowen Cricket Club on Sunday, October 22.

Trevor Jones, jazz club organiser, said: “All well known, local musicians, the Hot Five will – no doubt – be playing music from the hot dance era of the 1920 and 30s.”

The evening runs from 8pm until 10.30pm and admission on the door costs £5.
