A WOMAN was taken to hospital after a car flipped onto its side in a crash with another vehicle.

Firefighters freed two people who were trapped in a car following the crash at the A46 Hinton Cross, in Hinton on the Green, near Evesham.

Paramedics took the injured woman to Redditch's Alexandra Hospital, along with a man who suffered knee injuries, although he did not require hospital treatment.

Two ambulances and a rapid responder paramedic attended the incident after receiving a call at around 12.30pm today.

The road has now fully re-opened.

Two fire engines from Evesham and a crew from Broadway were also sent to the scene at about 12.34pm.

Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service left the scene at 1.30pm, while West Midlands Ambulance Service departed at just after 2pm.
