TWO swans have been injured near Worcester Bridge.

One of the swans, who was hit by a car on Worcester Bridge, has suffered an injury to its right eye and facial area. Wychbold Swan Rescue, who attended to help the swans, believe that it may have lost its sight in one eye.

The other swan, which police reported was struggling to get up, is believed to have damage to its leg and is being monitored.

Jan Harrigan, who runs the Wychbold Swan Rescue, said: "The first swan was hit by a car on Worcester Bridge.

"We are not sure what happened to the second swan that was injured near Browns, it may have just landed awkwardly.

"It was struggling to walk."
