THE design of a town's new play area has finally been unveiled.
Upton Town Council gave residents a choice of two designs in a consultation, with locals choosing the proposal by play firm Kompan.
The successful design was announced at Upton's annual town meeting on Tuesday.
The council is now applying for developer contributions, called Section 106 funds, to pay for the £200,000 project in New Street, Upton.
The Kompan design includes 'The Upton Ship', which features slides, a pendulum swing, a net twister, a trampoline and more.
Residents chose to go with Kompan over rival play equipment company Proludic.
They voted in person - in Memorial Hall and the town's library - and via email.
