TALENTED musicians will be giving their support to a fundraising concert in Redditch to help families displaced by the war in Syria.

The Gimme Shelter concert, organised by Bromsgrove and Redditch Welcome Refugees (BRWR), is at the Palace Theatre on May 10.

This year's line-up includes Redditch-born Nigel Clark of pop band Dodgy, Demi Marriner and Robbie Cavanagh, Jules Rendell, and Wes Finch, while Rubery's lively poet Spoz will once again feature as compere.

Alistair Waugh, from BRWR, said: "It's our second Gimme Shelter concert and this year's line-up is amazing.

"The artists draw on folk, country, pop and soul. And with the Palace Studio being such an intimate setting, we're in for a real treat."

Profits from the concert will be split between the work of BRWR, which support local refugees, and the Malvern based charity People in Motion which provide practical donations to refugee camps in France, Greece and beyond.
