A SPORTS grant has enabled a new climbing wall to be installed for children at Dodford First School.
The Fockbury Road school installed a two-sided climbing wall and an eco-mulch safety floor last week.
Headteacher Lisa Parkes said: "The children have all had a taster session this week, attempting to transverse across without touching the floor.
"The wall will provide a fun and stimulating way to improve the children’s balance, core strength, flexibility and co-ordination skills."
The new equipment cost £6,000 and was paid for in part by a sports grant awarded by the government to support PE provision.
The wall will be used by children in PE sessions and at lunchtimes.
