POLICE in Alcester have seized a dumper truck after finding abandoned in the middle of the road.
A member of the public saw a dumper truck being driven down the road, followed by another vehicle.
The caller decided to follow the truck and phoned the police at the same time.
The truck eventually stopped near to Mayswood garage on Mayswood Road, Wootton Wawen, and the person driving ran off, possibly getting into the vehicle that was following it, said police.
The dumper truck was seized by officers on suspicions it was stolen, and are now waiting for someone to report it missing.
The incident happened around12.30am on Friday, July 20
