A SUMMER of croquet battles came to a conclusion last weekend as the finals of the Village Croquet League took place on Garway Common.
The finals took place on Sunday, August 19, in front of the Garway Moon Pub, where the matches have been taking place throughout the summer.
Ethan Watkins and Katie Samuel were crowned winners for 2018 while Johnathan Hill and Laura Benjamin were awarded runners up for their croquet prowess.
Tributes were paid to Angela Farr who organised the tournament alongside undergoing three operations and a course of chemotherapy.
