GARDENING enthusiasts packed into Ebrington Village Hall to see an array of plants and flowers.

Awards were given out to a host of gardeners at the Ebrington and District Gardening Club Spring Show.

Maggie Elson won the Miss Stella Elphick Vase for the most points in the show and the Eric Williams Memorial Salver for best exhibit in classes 19 to 22, which was for containers of growing plants.

John and Sue Clarke, who organise the show said: "Our annual Spring Show was a great success.

"The weather was perfect resulting in an excellent attendance to view the record number of exhibits.

"The standard was very high causing the judges to have to work hard.

"The village hall looked an absolute picture, full of daffodils, tulips, flower arrangements, house plants.

"It was really good to see the entries in the Children’s Classes. The beautiful weather enabled visitors to enjoy afternoon tea outside in the Village Hall grounds."
