A WELL-KNOWN Cotswold hotel has been bought by a new company.

The Dial House Hotel in Bourton has been snapped up by the Barons Eden Group, which operates individual businesses including Hoar Cross Hall Spa Hotel, Eden Hall Day Spa and Huxleys café.

Director of Barons Eden, Adrian Pearson said that the 15 bedroom hotel would continue to run as boutique but with 'the odd tweak.'

Mr Pearson said: “While we operate in different parts of the hospitality and leisure industry our basic concept is high-quality service in distinctive surroundings.

“They don’t get much more distinctive than The Dial House situated in a lovely Cotswolds town in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

"This is a great opportunity with strong footfall and from the company point of view it has many facets.

The deal was brokered by Colliers International and their director Peter Brunt said: "It was a very confidential sale but generated an awful lot of interest as Bourton-on-the-Water is one of the top three most visited towns in the Cotswolds.

"Our clients bought the hotel in 2008, the start of what became a small local group of hotels.

"The others have been sold and they decided, despite the success they have had in growing revenue at The Dial House, to consolidate around their other business interests and to offer the hotel for sale."

The Grade II listed hotel was built in 1698 and was on the market at £1.95m for the freehold.
