RUNNERS from across the county and beyond tackled a run raising money for home nursing.
181 entries took part in the 10K run or walk for Shipston Home Nursing at Walton Hall.
The runners set off at a pace at 10am followed by families and their dogs.
Competitors were timed for the first time, with Sam Weaving winning the men's event and Sophie Yell the ladies event.
The first placed girl under 16 was Jade Storer with Miles Taylor winning the boys under 16 battle.
Walton Hall staff were on hand to serve athletes hot dogs and bacon rolls, whilst banana cake was supplied by Shipston Sports Club.
A total of £1,279 was raised on the day.
Hannah French, who ran in the event said: “Just wanted to say thank you for the excellent organisation of the run at Walton Hall last Sunday.
"Shipston Home Nursing is such a wonderful charity. Thanks for all your amazing work.”
The home nursing charity are also organizing the Tysoe Windmill 5k and 10ks run on Saturday June 3 at 10am.
The charity provides care to people with life-limiting illnesses who wish to be treated at home.
