SEVEN gardens will be opened in a picturesque village.

Whichford and Ascott Gardens will be open from 2pm until 5pm on Sunday.

Originally farmland, Whichford Hill House’s superb north-facing rose garden will be open with abundant, old-fashioned blooms.

Belmont House’s Cotswold-walled borders of deep catnip, companion-planted rose and clematis, French iris, and peony, with a bay tree loyally transplanted from the owner’s previous garden in Ealing will also be available to view.

Plum Tree Cottage with bee-friendly drifts of Nigella, abundant Clematis, lemon-belled Silver Fox, and the cosy Gin & Tonic Hosta alcove and Knight’s Place enticing garden rooms with lushly planted blue and white borders are also amongst the gardens.

Ascot Lodge, The Old Rectory and The Whichford Pottery will also be open.

The combined admission for all the gardens is £6.
