STUDENTS took part in a baking competition.

This year the Co-Op in Chipping Norton has been assisting Chipping Norton School with the schools bake off competition.

Pairs of students from across the school’s house system have been challenged to bake a range of themed cakes and biscuits over the course of this year.

After each challenge one pair from each house was eliminated from the competition until only four pairs remained.

On Thursday May 18, the eight finalists of this year’s Chipping Norton School Bake Off conducted a public tasting session of their final cakes at the Co-Op Store in Chipping Norton.

They met with judges Jenny Hudson, award-winning proprietor of ‘Sweet As Cake Emporium’ and Sarah Peedall, community representative for the Co-Op.

Customers at the shop were also invited to sample the student’s work and to vote for their favourite cake.

Ms Hudson, will produce the winners’ cake as a limited edition to be sold in Chipping Norton Co-Op and she selected Ryan Steer and Lewis Kelt, representing Wychwood House as the winners.
