THE first edition of a music festival will feature a number of local artists.

The Moreton Music Festival (MMF) will be taking place in the High Street in Moreton in Marsh on Saturday with the first act on stage at 4pm.

The festival which has been organized by members of the Moreton Town Council’s Youth, Events and Sports Committee chaired by Moreton local Ellie Hamilton seeks to support the charities Kate’s Home Nursing and Ovarian Cancer Action.

The bands on the main stage will all be local artists and include Brimstone, a Celtic Folk band, Silvi and the Sky, Silvi originally from Spain now lives in Bourton on the Water and The Swing Rioters, an acoustic band with a twist.

The Hooli Fruits will also be delivering rock and pop covers and our closing act Good Intent from Chipping Norton who will wind up the day playing some great versions of hits from the 60’s to the present day.

During the day in the High Street there will be a mini market for charity and craft stalls, a pig roast and face painting. The Bell Inn will be hosting a number of individual acts in their courtyard in between the main sets and all the Moreton Pubs and Food Retailers will remain open throughout the afternoon and evening.
