A VILLAGE has become a star of the small screen, as the location for a new national advertising campaign.
Rural energy provider Calor gas chose Salford Village near Chipping Norton as the location for its new TV advert about off-grid living.
The company chose a house in the village as the main location for the advert while the surrounding countryside was used for outdoor shots.
Hailing from nearby Chipping Norton, two of the adverts stars, trained bulls Cosmo and Ferdinand, were provided by specialist film and television company Amazing Animals who have provided animals for a range of high profile productions.
The advert, which features a voice over from Little Britain and Doctor Who actor Tom Baker, takes a lighthearted look at rural life in the English countryside.
Promoting Calor’s central heating offering for homeowners that live off mains gas, the campaign is designed to make people aware that they can make a clever choice in how they heat their home.
The advert, which launched on Monday will be broadcast nationally via SKY adsmart and video on demand.
