A COACH which flew off the road was carrying around 50 students, it has emerged.
The bus went into the verge whilst on the B4081 after a crash with a lorry going in the opposite direction between Mickleton and Chipping Campden
The bus was on the way to Chipping Campden High School.
Principal of Chipping Campden High School, John Sanderson said: "As soon as we heard about the crash I headed to the scene.
"I liased with a fellow bus company and a second coach was sent to the scene.
"Children were given the chance to speak to their parents and we contacted their parents as well.
"Some students elected to stay at school, others talked to parents who came to the school and decided to stay.
"Some went home with their parents with our blessing."
Mr Sanderson added that students were given hot chocolate and a chance to calm down after the crash.
There are no injuries from the crash at around 8.15am on Friday but the road was closed for around four hours.
The coach belongs to NN Cresswell Coach Hire based in Evesham, who did not want to comment whilst the incident is under investigation.
No arrests have been made with police continuing their investigation.
