TWO men accused of serious firearms offences are to be joined in the dock by a 28 year old Cheltenham woman who is now facing related charges, a court heard.

Listed to appear before Gloucester Crown Court were dad of five Daniel Smith, 28, of Cedar rd, Mickleton, nr Chipping Campden, and Christopher Reynolds, 29, of Priors rd, Cheltenham.

They are both charged with conspiring between August 22 and August 31 to possess two shotguns without a licence.

Smith is charged with possessing a single-barrelled and a double-barrelled shotgun without a licence on August 30.

Both men were due to appear yesterday but Judge Jamie Tabor QC was told that Reynolds had refused to leave his remand cell to attend.

The judge adjourned his case till next Friday and ruled that a full plea and directions hearing for all defendants will take place on Dec 22nd

By that time, he was told, Shannon Smith, 28, of Bush Court, Cheltenham, would also be before the court with the two men.

She was committed to the crown court from Cheltenham Magistrates Court on November 24 on charges of doing acts tending to pervert the course of justice, trying to get an illicit article into a prison, conspiracy to possess a firearm without a certificate and illegal possession of a firearm, the judge was told.
