A WOMAN in her 20s was sexually assaulted as she walked along a Hereford street yesterday evening at 7pm.
Police said she was walking in St Martin's Street towards the river when a man approached her and inappropriately touched her.
He is described as a white man in his 20s, around 5ft 4ins tall and of average build. He had short brown or red hair and short stubble on his face.
He was wearing a dark long-sleeved top and had pink stretchers or earrings in both ears.
Inspector Darren Godsall said: "We take incidents of this nature very seriously and a robust investigation is underway. I would urge anyone who saw this incident or a man matching this description in the area at the time to please contact police or Crimestoppers."
